I’ve learned through years of experience that authentic relationships are built though integrity, trust, and respect. These characteristics are the core of my business model in helping my clients exceed their expectations when buying or selling real estate. I’m a native San Diegan that graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor’s of Science in Quantitative Economics. A job transfer to the Bay Area caused me to flip my first house for a profit – well before the term “flip” was relevant. Thus, my love for real estate was born. My next move in real estate was building our custom family dream home. While doing that I got my Master’s in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. A serendipitous job transfer brought me back to San Diego, where I attained my real estate license. My unique background brings an entirely new approach to the real estate industry. It’s imperative to work with a real estate professional that understands the numbers involved with such a transaction. In my business, clients are viewed as family members where it’s far more important to make financial sense, than it is to just be part of the transaction.

Originally from Colorado, Shannon moved to San Diego to attend school at UC-San Diego. She has a B.A. in Literature-Writing and a certificate in Web Media from UCSD Extension. When not working on all aspects of marketing and advertising for Coastal Premier, Shannon loves to read, write, ride her horse, and explore San Diego.
Marika Iler – Loan Officer
I have a gift of being able to connect with people and truly love the lending and real estate business. Helping people with the biggest investment of a lifetime is very rewarding and often results in clients who become my friends for life.
I obtained an MBA from the University of San Francisco in 2002. Since then, my focus has been originating residential home mortgages. I have worked as an in-house loan officer for a local real estate office and have alsoheld the position of Sales Manager for a mortgage banking company, but decided that working directly with the consumer and my referral partners and originating loans are what I love to do most.
Building strong relationships with real estate agents and clients has always been my number one priority. I aim to consistently educate my clients on their financing options, rather than sell them on one. Excellent communication is crucial in the lending industry and I return all phone calls and emails promptly.
I am actively involved in three business networking groups: Women’s Organization Networking in Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe Business and Professional Women’s Association and Soroptimist of International of Poway, a non-profit that helps out women and girls who have been victims of abuse.
I am a native of San Diego. My passion is international travel. Leisure time is spent hiking, running or doing pilates. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends at the beach or skiing in the mountains. I have a very spoiled Shih Tzu named Bella who I adore!
